Data we process

- Data you give us. If you email or call us, we process the data you choose to share (name, contact details, travel dates and preferences) to answer your request.
Cookies and third-party tools
This site uses no cookies, technical or profiling, and no analytics or tracking tools. Fonts, images and videos are hosted on our own server: browsing the site sends no data to third-party services. For this reason no cookie consent banner is needed.
Purposes and legal bases
- Answering your requests and preparing a travel proposal: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Providing the service you book and handling the related administrative and tax duties: performance of a contract and legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(c) GDPR).
- Keeping the site secure and preventing abuse: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Providing your data
Providing your data is optional. Without the details we need to reach you, however, we cannot answer your request.
Retention
Browsing data is kept by the hosting provider only as long as needed for the security of the service. Messages we receive are kept as long as needed to handle the request; if a contract follows, data is kept for its duration and, for accounting and tax records, for the period required by law (usually 10 years).
Recipients
Your data is never published or sold. It may be processed on our behalf, as data processors, by our hosting and email providers and our accountant, and by public authorities where the law requires it. Data is processed within the European Union.
Your rights
At any time you can ask to access, correct or erase your data, to restrict its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest (Arts. 15–22 GDPR). To exercise these rights, write to info@umbriaheritage.com.
If you believe the processing breaks the law, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
